sense of this accusation. “What do
you mean? Me the thug? Are you
serious?”
But then he turned and saw the
astonished look on Josh and Lauren’s
faces. And the trickle of blood running
down Lauren’s cheek and blobbing on
to her white t-shirt.
It was a few moments before the
horrible truth dawned on him.
“Did I...did you…I didn’t
mean…why did you…?” Gary gasped.
He’d hit Lauren! Ouch! How had
he managed that?
“You didn’t noticed Al duck out
the way then?” Josh asked.
