Stunned, Gary watched in horror
as the two boys kicked and punched
at each other. Lauren looked
shocked.
“Stop it!” she tried. “Please, the
two of you. Stop!”
Just then Al, who had managed
to crawl unnoticed into the den,
emerged holding Gary’s jacket.
“Hey! Look what I’ve got!” he
yelled at Specks and Specks
immediately ducked Josh’s flaying
arm and got to his feet. He grabbed
the jacket.
“Careful with that!” he jeered.
“Could be vital evidence!”
Grabbing it from Al he held the
jacket high, spinning it around in
